M. Daedalus - POETRY / POESIA

seasons

Last spring there was no comet on the horizon
The universe was simple and Ptolomaic

Last summer all the flowers were grey
The Earth seemed flat, as before Magellan

Last autumn the children’s laughter was dull
My country still owned my essence

In the Baltic winter I learned new laws
Laws for desire, laws for belonging, laws for love

Endless railway tracks introduced me to a land of colours
Here, your name is the citizenship of my spirit
